Getting a visa extension in South Africa
March 27, 2020When I had the thought for this article, it was to highlight how Zimbabwe is a country left behind in terms of advancement in many areas, but doing more research on this I find that the same can be said of many other countries, so while I am going to continue with a highlight on Zimbabwe, you’ll notice that it can be said of a lot of the countries in Africa as well as most other 3rd world countries.
It is also interesting to see how we implement or try to implement and manage 1st world / advanced ideas into what I guess can be considered a 3rd world / not-advanced country. We copy laws, regulations and policies that other countries implement on the basis that it is done in these other countries yet they do not work efficiently in our own environment and simply cause chaos and disruption. Who decides this is a good idea?
How can we compare the ways that Zimbabwe as a country has been left behind. I think we can start with some direct comparisons of the way certain tasks are carried out, then I will compare the access we have locally to certain services and activities and follow that up with a nice long personal opinion piece 🙂
