Life & Time
February 3, 2020A mind map is a way of using diagrams to visually organize information and create a hierarchical with relationships between the information.
I have always been a lists person, I create lists for everything and was first told about mind maps by my now late father in law, Ron. He showed me how convenient they are and how much easier it is to rearrange, re-prioritize and end up with a more comprehensive mind map than a list.
I still find lists extremely useful and they cater to a lot of my needs, but slowly mind maps are starting to become more prominent, particularly since they are brilliant ways of presenting information to others and helping people to understand your thought pattern where a list doesn’t show it as well.
There really is not much to creating a mind map and I am really only getting into it more now, so I still have a lot to learn about them, but as you use them more you start to get tidier, and clearer in your creations. This is great as i think soon they will be able to help me help other people understand exactly what I am explaining.
So other than using a piece of paper and drawing them out, I also now have a program so I can create them on my computer and will be starting to incorporate them more into the work I do and my personal blog posts too.
The program that I am using is called “Mind Visualizer” for anyone interested. I would also love to hear if you have any programs you use or mind blowing techniques.
