I think it is fair to say that in Africa economies are suffering, in my lifetime I can not name one country in Africa that has seen a great improvement on the mass populations standard of living. I will be researching this and posting my updates as I learn more.
I have been born and raised in Zimbabwe, and for the first 30 years I only had one president, and from what was a thriving economy at my birth I have seen the country completely collapse. As I write this today prices of basic goods are out of reach of the majority of the population, municipal services such as electricity, water, refuse collection, among others are scarce to non existent, the living conditions of the majority of the population are appalling.
The sad reality of the current situation is that it has all been done under the guise of providing prosperity to everyone all the while those same people are forcing the population into absolute poverty.
